The Passion of Lovers (Part 7)

England to win the World Cup? Ledley King to nod in the winner, from a corner, in injury time? Frankly, anything is possible at this moment. Tottenham Hotspur have clinched 4th place, with a game to spare and are going to be gracing the Champions League next season. This is big; possibly one of the biggest moments in my football life.

Spurs have won 5 FA Cups in my lifetime, two of them I can't remember. 4 League Cups, 2 UEFA cups, 1 Cup Winners' Cup and maybe a Fairs Cup, but again I was too young to remember. Finishing 4th in the Premier League; getting a stab at the Champions League - that's up there with all the above and in this day of big spending clubs (not that Spurs don't spend big), it's good to see a team get there with a local of homegrown talent.

I know it's easy to say this now; but I don't care if we get knocked out in the preliminary round; we did it; we finished fourth (we finished above Liverpool) and we deserved it.
